Tess Clorfene, LEED AP BD+C | Engineer
Tess Clorfene joined JB&B in 2025 and serves as an Engineer in the Deep Carbon Reduction Group. Her work focuses on supporting energy modeling and analysis for both new construction and existing buildings, maintaining a strong focus on healthcare and hospital projects as well as building intelligence initiatives and government incentive application projects.
Prior to joining JB&B, she was an engineer at a general contracting firm, where she worked onsite overseeing the completion of the building’s mechanical spaces and managing the installation and start-up of critical HVAC. She also coordinated efforts to meet architectural and Department of Buildings compliance requirements for walk-through inspections, ensuring that all systems and spaces adhered to regulatory standards.
Ms. Clorfene earned her BSE in Engineering Physics with a Mechanical Certificate at Tulane University. She is an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) and is pursuing PE licensure.
Fun Fact: For her senior engineering capstone, Tess worked on reducing flooding in New Orleans by rerouting stormwater and reintegrating it into the city to create a more resilient, sustainable space. Collaborating with local engineers and community members to align the project with city goals, she found inspiration for her work today in finding new ways to make cities greener!
